Overview of Network Slovakia
Network Slovakia, the Fellowship of Catholic journalists, is a non-governmental organization and professional association. Network Slovakia is concentrated on the professional and reciprocal support of young cristian journalists in Slovakia.
The fellowship was established in 1998 and has currently cca 80 active members in the age under 35 years and ca 150 sympathizers from the whole Slovakia. There is a natural fluctuation in the group of active members as many of them are volunteers in presbyterial, diocesan or theological magazines. There are members who work for secular media and students of journalism as well.
The main aim of the Network Slovakia is to catch talented youth, to guide and support it from the professional side and help it by starting in a profession of a journalist. The second aim of Network Slovakia is to give support mainly to the Catholic media in order to be more professional. Network Slovakia has achieved a significant progress on this field during its existence.
